Diamond Gusset Jeans – GET THEM AT THE GREAT AMERICAN MOTORCYCLE SHOW
Many companies today provide quality protective clothing for motorcycle riders. Blue jeans are often the go-to pant for bikers, for their comfort, utilitarian function, and general good looks. Yet often, these offer sub-par protection in the event of an “off.” Several companies offer armored jeans, with sewn-in protection at key points around the garment. Companies like Joe Rocket, Icon, Alpinestars, and Cortech are among those who offer high quality riding jeans. At a recent Great American Motorcycle Show, I had the privilege to meet with David Hall of Diamond Gusset Jean Company, a unique, all-American outfit based in Bon Aqua,…

Haus of Trikes is one of the largest trike conversion company’s in Florida. “I grew up with trike companies like Motor Trike, California Sidecar, Hannigan, and Road Smith. We all met each other on the manufacturing/distribution-side because I did shows with my trikes and these guys tried to push the conversion trike market. They knew me from day one as a manufacturer and importer and that I already had an established shop. There are so many of us that have lost people close to us. From a spouse, partner, best friend, and family, it doesn’t seem to get any easier. Well, we are turning the tables and interviewing her about her successful book, “Losing the Love of your Life.” Why did she decide to write this book? “It’s been 10 years since I lost my husband. Amber Balcean Underdog Bloodline in NASCAR
By Florida Night Train Gamble everything for love, if you’re a true human being. If not, leave this gathering. Half-heartedness doesn’t reach into majesty. You set out to find God, but then you keep stopping for long periods at mean-spirited roadhouses. ~ Rumi I think even Rumi would agree we could substitute the word “love” here for “passion.” Yes, Amber Balcean is known as an underdog. She comes from a bloodline all too familiar to me which is the good old blue-collar breed. Amber is packed with passion for what she does in ways that command respect. She comes from…

Relics Retreats A Collision of Dreams © Dedicated to Clint
Years ago, I awakened from a dream knowing that my pursuit for happiness would in part be wrapped within writing. Who knew that this pathway would give me so much in the creation of a family who wanted nothing more than to love me. To this day my life is fueled with words that leap off the page for my children and those I hold near and dear to my heart. It is through writing that I have been given the privilege to elevate those who take the time to read my work. From subtle to direct the underlying premise…

Congratulations Atlanta Harley-Davidson for 55 Years Serving the Biker Community
And 55 years ago, Eddie Houghton started selling Harley-Davidson motorcycles in downtown Atlanta. WOW! I was still living “up north” and was only 10 years old. My father owned Harley’s in his youth and much to my delight, around this time in my life he brought home a used Harley panhead. I was hooked! Now, my little bicycle riding buddies, at the time were going gaga over the big bad Honda 305 Scrambler. Whoopie, I thought, 305cc vs. 1200cc. Bigger is better, so I’ll stick with the “hog.” When the time came, I bought a brand new, shiny black, 1977…

A Biker, an Artist, a Potter and He May Be a Philosopher, Too!
He’s a Biker, an Artist, a Potter and He May Be a Philosopher, Too! By Eric Albright One of the best parts of my work for the last 30 years has been the people I have met and worked with. I have shot interviews with world leaders as well as icons of the music, film and sports industries. For the most part, these shoots are fun and every once and a while they’re exciting. But many times it’s the person I don’t know beforehand that will leave the biggest impression on me. Meeting fellow biker, David Meaders is one of…

Women’s World Riding Soul-O By Myra McElhaney
“There was always a need for speed around our house.” Debi Tolbert Duggar says. She grew up around classic cars and was on the back of a boy’s motorcycle since she was 15 years old. Through some ‘bad’ relationships she ended up loving the bike more than the boy. She loved the long rides like Route 66 and riding to Daytona. Guys seem to like seeing how many miles they can get under the tires and she wanted to savor the moments and enjoy seeing the country. At one point she got off a soon-to-be-ex-boyfriend’s bike and said she’d never…
