FROM WALL STREET TO MAIN STREET ON TWO WHEELS
Happy New Year; I thought it would be great to use an example of someone I have helped over the years. The following story really touches my heart with a client and fellow rider I met about a year ago. I have changed his name and some of the numbers of the principal to protect our client, but it is a very real client and I see this over and over again. John came to me about a year ago. After our meeting, I asked him to go home and gather anything that related to his financial situation so we…

‘Born to Ride’ celebrates 20-year journey on TV
By Eric Vician, Times Correspondent Wednesday, November 18, 2015 5:01pm Ron Galletti still remembers the day he came home from the sweltering Florida heat of his construction foreman and told his wife he left his job to pursue an entrepreneurial idea. Galletti wanted to document the lifestyle of motorcycle riders and thought the idea might make for a good television show. That was 20 years — and two children — ago for the couple, who co-produce Born to Ride a show seen in more than 2 million homes, across 14 counties including locally on Great 38, WTTA Tampa Bay Sundays…

Bikers, officials say this year’s 75th Sturgis rally is huge
STURGIS, S.D. -- (AP) It'll take some time before official attendance numbers for the landmark 75th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally are in, but bikers and officials say it's one of the largest rallies they've ever seen in the small western South Dakota town. Attendance projections for this year's rally, which runs through Sunday, breached 1 million people. That would be a big jump from the record 633,000 people who flooded Sturgis for the 60th anniversary in 2000. The Freedom Ride
Special to Born to Ride by Wanda Kenton Smith Eight years ago, I was a harried business owner of a $20 million advertising and PR agency, juggling the roles of biz exec with that of wife, soccer mom, parental caregiver, writer/editor, and boating industry activist. My world embodied a frenzied rush of deadlines, with no time for hobbies or personal passions. I was just another highly charged workaholic running through the maze, trying desperately to maintain sanity while pursuing the elusive American dream. And then, I took a motorcycle ride. My creative director and I were in an all-day strategic…

In recognition of the 68th Hollister Freedom Rally
The entire review could be summed up in a sentence: “This film created an image and a lifestyle that yet endures.” Yes, the image of a young Brando sitting on his Triumph motorcycle, dressed in a black leather jacket, tilted cap and a stolen trophy attached at the headlamp, is certainly one that literally everyone has seen at least once. Some of you still live that image today! This film arguably started the biker exploitation explosion in this reviewer’s eyes, and set the tone for hundreds of “B” movie skirt riders that are still being spawned as we speak. Released…

GENERATION TO GENERATION A poem by Antoine de Saint-Exupery
In a house which becomes a home, one hands down and another takes up the heritage of mind and heart, laughter and tears, musings and deeds. Love, like a carefully loaded ship, crosses the gulf between the generations. Therefore, we do not neglect the ceremonies of our passage: when we wed, when we die, and when we are blessed with a child; When we depart and when we return; When we plant and when we harvest. Let us bring up our children. It is not the place of some official to hand to them their heritage. If others impart to…
