As well as the massive visibility guaranteed by the presence of the brand logo on the front fairing and the rear of the red bikes from Borgo Panigale, the riders’ leathers and team gear, the partnership between Riello UPS and Ducati has added value represented by the unprecedented and unparalleled emotional involvement that over the years has spread amongst the employees of Riello UPS and clients. DIAMOND GUSSET JEANS REVIEW – Rob Brooks

DIAMOND GUSSET JEANS REVIEW – Rob Brooks
Many companies today provide quality protective clothing for motorcycle riders. Blue jeans are often the go-to pant for bikers, for their comfort, utilitarian function, and general good looks. Yet often, these offer sub-par protection in the event of an “off.” Several companies offer armored jeans, with sewn-in protection at key points around the garment. Companies like Joe Rocket, Icon, Alpinestars, and Cortech are among those who offer high quality riding jeans. At a recent Great American Motorcycle Show, I had the privilege to meet with David Hall of Diamond Gusset Jean Company, a unique, all-American outfit based in Bon Aqua,…

American Patriot’s It is my opinion in this day and time if you attack or threaten to attack school children no matter what your age, you should be charged as an adult with an act of terrorism and what every state statues apply. Also, parents need to monitor and teach their children respect for all, which most do. It is those where the parents fail children and young adults who will become wayward and want the attention drawn to them by an act of violence or threats usually on a social media site. If the media would report the news…

Forrest Minchinton Shapes Surfboards in the Desert, and the Desert Shapes Him
Forrest Minchinton Shapes Surfboards in the Desert, and the Desert Shapes Him Words by Nathan Myers Photos by Harry Mark, Aaron Brimhall & Drew Martin   “At first I was just shaping surfboards to pay for motorcycles,” explains Forrest Minchinton. He elaborates, “Way out in the desert, somehow that made perfect sense.” The road to Johnson Valley high desert passes through a few small towns. Smaller and smaller, until there’s just one store. And it’s closed. There are a few homes outside of town … then a few abandoned trailers … then nothing at all. Beyond that, there’s the place…

PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- The 77th running of the iconic American Motorcyclist Association-sanctioned Daytona 200 road race at Daytona International Speedway on March 17 will feature intense competition on the track, as well as a fan walk and autograph session before racing gets underway. First run in 1937 on a makeshift 4.2-mile road/beach circuit, the Daytona 200 has evolved into a 200-mile, 57-lap bar-banging battle between professional and amateur road racers. "These riders will be navigating the twists, turns and steep banking of Daytona International Speedway's 3.51-mile road course, reaching speeds of up to 180 mph," said AMA Track Racing Manager…

The Far Side of the World: Motorbikes in Indonesia
The Far Side of the World: Motorbikes in Indonesia Photos by Rob Brooks & Shayne Russell My wife and I enjoyed a 12-day trip to Indonesia this past year. I've made the trip several times in recent years with a non-profit I help manage, 127 Legacy Foundation, and have always been fascinated with the culture of motorcycles over there. Some interesting observations from our trip abroad: The largest displacement engine I’ve ever found in Indonesia was 250cc. It's an interesting contrast to the US, where, aside from scooters, a 250 is about the smallest you'll find. The rider always wears…

The Lonely Scooter
Traveling around the world, I have become more appreciative of the lonely scooter. I have always owned motorcycles for my pleasure and a means for traveling to new destinations and to be with fellow motorcyclists. How often do you see a family of six riding on a Fatboy? On a scooter, It is a common sight in countries like Vietnam Nam, Cambodia and most Indonesian and Malaysian cities. It is a necessity, not for fun … most families will never own a car. There are over 30 million scooters registered in Vietnam Nam and only 2 million cars. I have…

American Patriot’s Sadly, once again a school was attacked by a deranged individual. The Second Amendment is not the problem, those who kill others are the problem. People say guns kill, which is a fact. A weapon will not kill by itself, it is the person with their finger on the trigger which makes the decision to kill. My parents had the first sporting goods store in Manatee County selling hundreds upon hundreds of weapons and I have had a weapon since I was six years old. I spent four years in the military and twenty-seven years in law enforcement…
