Legions of race fans descended upon Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin June 1-3, for round 4 of the MotoAmerica road racing series. After a month-long sabbatical, riders and teams were eager to get back on the track and on the throttle. Police Without Warrant Inspected Vehicle in Property Owner's Driveway PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that the warrantless police search of a motorcycle on private property was an "invasion of the sanctity" of the area around the house, even though authorities believe the motorcycle may have been stolen. The 8-1 decision bolsters the protections for outside areas around a home when law enforcement agencies do not have a search warrant.
