INTRODUCING PAN AMERICA™ A TWO-WHEEL MULTI-TOOL

Centered on the next legendary V-Twin to power a new wave of iconic motorcycles, loaded with premium technology and rider-enhancements, and packaged in a design that could only emerge from Milwaukee. Harley-Davidson has entered the ADV game. Refined, capable and intuitive, Pan America™ is a motorcycle that stays composed and confident no matter how hard you push it.

AN ALL-NEW MODEL
DIFFERENT BY DESIGN
Harley-Davidson brings a fresh look to the Adventure Touring motorcycle segment, featuring a rugged North American take on off-road versatility. H-D design and engineering teams collaborated throughout the process of creating and refining the Pan America™ 1250 and Pan America™ 1250 Special models with a vision guided by utility, and rooted in the spirit of iconic American off-road vehicles.

Engineered For Adventure
We’ve rebuilt Adventure Touring using the principles of the Harley-Davidson® touring legacy, and styled the Pan America models to stand out among the conformity of the ADV landscape. Touring is now detouring, and while the pursuit is the same, we’re on a brand new road.

Built To Endure
Like a good hand tool, function leads the form of these Harley-Davidson® models. From grab handles to integrated luggage mounts, to a horizontal headlamp configured to better illuminate an off-road trail – we’ve created a utilitarian, go-anywhere look that reinforces the capability of the bike.

THE ALL-NEW
REVOLUTION® MAX 1250 ENGINE
The next chapter in a century of legendary V-Twins is here. Revolution® Max is a clean-sheet design featuring a liquid-cooled powertrain with 150 horsepower, full of ample torque, and a surging powerband tuned to maximize rider control. The engine is also a structural component of the motorcycle chassis, eliminating a traditional frame — which significantly reduces overall weight and keeps handling precise. Double Overhead Camshafts (DOHC) facilitate higher peak horsepower, and independent Variable Valve Timing (VVT) broadens the overall powerband and improves torque management. All this to simply, say you’ll have as much low-end torque off the line and high-RPM horsepower as you could need.

Optimized Design For Light Weight
Every gram counts: Reducing the weight of the powertrain contributes to lower motorcycle weight, which enhances every aspect of motorcycle performance experienced by the rider: efficiency, acceleration, handling and braking.

V-Twin Architecture
The Revolution® Max 1250 engine provides a narrow powertrain profile that centralizes mass to enhance balance and handling, and also provides room to steer with your lower body in offroad situations. The v-twin configuraiton is a direct link to our legacy; Harley-Davidson® motorcycles have largely been V-Twin-powered since 1911, and the engine continues to be a central, and celebrated design element.

AN INDUSTRY FIRST
REVOLUTIONARY SUSPENSION SYSTEM
Adaptive Ride Height makes its world debut on the Pan America™ 1250 Special. This factory-installed option is a Harley-Davidson exclusive and unlocks confidence you can feel. When the motorcycle comes to a stop, the height is automatically lowered to make it significantly easier to reach the ground. At speed, the system maintains a constant, optimum suspension sag by adjusting preload while continuously sensing weight inputs.

Harley-Davidson is the first in the motorcycle industry to offer this technology.

EXCLUSIVE
Adaptive Ride Height (ARH)
ARH allows the rider to mount the Pan America™ 1250 Special model with ease, and confidently reach the ground ground at a stop, by lowering the seat height 1 to 2 inches without a compromise to suspension travel. Additionally, ARH retains all of the features of the semi-active front and rear suspension, and features three pre-programmed profiles which are incorporated into each Ride Mode program.

AUTO MODE
The system determines how quickly to lower the suspension based on how aggressive the braking action is, with the result of having the suspension fully lowered when the bike comes to a stop.

SHORT DELAY AND LONG DELAY
The lowering function is delayed until the motorcycle comes to a stop, so that full ride height is maintained while the motorcycle is moving at low speeds.

LOCKED
The Adaptive Ride Height system will always maintain the normal ride height and does not lower at a stop. This mode might be selected by riders who do not need ARH to be flat footed at a stop, or for off-road riding when full ride height is desirable at low speeds.

Model Specifications
Both Pan America™ models come equipped with 7.5″ of travel front and rear using 47mm front forks and a linkage mounted rear shock.

The Pan America™ 1250 Special gains electronically adjustable semi-active damping control on the front and rear suspension, and Adjustable Ride Height can be added as a factory-installed option.

SUSPENSION PROFILES
Electronically adjustable semi-active front and rear suspension
The Semi-Active Suspension system features five pre-programmed profiles, which are preconfigured in each of the Pan America’s Ride Modes:

COMFORT
Maximizes ride comfort by providing more compliance and isolating the rider from rough road conditions.

BALANCED
Optimized balance of ride comfort and ride control for all-around riding.

SPORT
Maximum ride control with higher damping rates calibrated for spirited riding with maximum confidence.

OFF ROAD SOFT
Reduced initial damping to increase suspension compliance to better absorb larger obstacles and to reduce kickback – ideal for logging roads, ruts, and rocky terrain.

OFF ROAD FIRM
Increased initial damping for aggressive riding or when less body float is desired – ideal for soft/loamy terrain.

RIDER AIDS
Cornering Rider Safety Enhancements
The Pan America™ 1250 and Pan America™ 1250 Special models are equipped with a collection of rider aids using the latest chassis control, electronic brake control and powertrain technology. These systems are designed to match motorcycle performance to available traction during acceleration, deceleration, and braking in both straight-line and cornering situations.

CORNERING ENHANCED ELECTRONICALLY LINKED BRAKING (C-ELB)
C-ELB provides balanced front and rear braking under a wide variety of brake applications.

CORNERING ENHANCED ANTILOCK BRAKING SYSTEM (C-ABS)
C-ABS is designed to prevent the wheels from locking under braking.

CORNERING ENHANCED TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM (C-TCS)
C-TCS is designed to prevent the rear wheel from excessive spinning under acceleration.

CORNERING ENHANCED DRAG-TORQUE SLIP CONTROL SYSTEM (C-DSCS)
C-DSCS is designed to reduce excessive rear-wheel slip and help prevent rear-wheel lock under powertrain-induced deceleration.

HILL HOLD CONTROL (HHC)
HHC is designed to hold brake pressure when activated and prevent the motorcycle from rolling for 10 seconds after the rider has released the brake controls.

INFOTAINMENT
TOUCH-SCREEN DASHBOARD
The Pan America™ 1250 and Pan America™ 1250 Special models feature a 6.8-inch TFT (thin-film-transistor) touchscreen, that displays all instrumentation and infotainment functions in high quality and high contrast. The modern layout makes for easy reading, and the customizable info widgets offer the opportunity for you to define just how much you want to know. Choose from one of five ride modes (Sport, Road, Rain, Off-Road, Off-Road Plus) and go.

You’re now free to roam, without losing sight of what’s to come.
