Panama City Beach, FL— Harley-Davidson of Panama City Beach is proud to support the Defenders Motorcycle Club in their 4th Annual Benefit for Tender Love & Care, a Panama City prescribed pediatric extended care facility catering to children and young adults up to age 21 with skilled nursing needs. On Wednesday, December 17 at 3:30 PM Santa Claus will arrive at Tender, Love & Care in a Rudolph the Red-Nosed Smart Car, escorted by the Defenders on an iron reindeer.
This is the fourth year the Defenders have organized a charity ride for the non-profit. At 3:00 PM that day, riders will gather at Doc’s 231 Tattoos. Kick stands up at 3:20 PM, and the group will arrive at TLC at the Pediatric Primary Extended Care medical facility at 3:30 PM, where they will present toys to the children, pre-purchased at Wal-Mart Callaway, along with gift cards to help families with Christmas dinner. Last year the Defenders helped 23 children have a merrier Christmas; this year their goal is to help 41 families and a total of 56 children.
The Defenders Motorcycle Club was founded in June 2004 as an independent, non-profit, male social club. It was established to provide the opportunity for increased camaraderie between current and retired law enforcement officers, military personnel, emergency services personnel, and select citizenry, who enjoy riding motorcycles and attending motorcycling related events. The DMC’s goal is to help as many local organizations as they can.
This year, members of Harley-Davidson of Panama City Beach’s H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) Chapter are taking part in the ride, and Harley-Davidson of Panama City Beach is co-sponsoring the event. For more information, contact Shelly Hickman at (850) 258-6366.
