2017 AMA Ice Race Grand Championship to be Rescheduled
PICKERINGTON, Ohio - Due to weather conditions, the 2017 AMA Ice Race Grand Championship scheduled for Feb. 17-19 in Cadillac, Mich., has been rescheduled to Feb. 24-26. Warmer than normal temperatures in northern Michigan have made racing conditions questionable. The AMA Ice Race Grand Championship has been rescheduled for the following weekend at the same location. "It is only appropriate to postpone the race for a week to seek the best possible conditions for racers and spectators alike," said AMA Track Racing Manager Ken Saillant. Industry Commitment to National Safety and Training Programs Contributes to Reduced Number of Incidents IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 6, 2017 – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC) 2015 Annual Report of ATV Deaths and Injuries (published January 2017) confirms that fatalities and injuries related to all-terrain vehicles (ATV) continue to decline. The Report finds a “statistically significant decreasing linear trend” in ATV-related injuries for 2007-2015. For 2007 to 2012 reported ATV-related fatalities declined by 31 percent, and ATV-related fatalities involving children declined by 50 percent.
