The Missions of Cherokee Veterans Community

Male Support Group – This group is open to Veterans, Active-duty military members, and family members, and friends of our military community. Everyone is welcome.

CVC Women – “Help on the Homefront” The group establishes a supportive community for Veterans, Active-duty Military, Moms of military members, and friends of our military community. Everyone is welcome.

“CoffeeWithVeterans” & “BattleBuddiesAtHome” These missions serve our homebound and senior living home Veterans and offer social interaction that they might be missing.

WeCareBoxes – WeCareBoxes is packed with personal hygiene and comfort items (consumables) along with letters and cards and sent to our deployed military members around the world.

Rallying Around Veteran Education (RAVE) Scholarship – The Scholarship provides 10 – $500 scholarships for honorably discharged Veterans who are presently attending Chattahoochee Technical College. RAVE is designed to honor and aid veterans after they have served our country.

Veteran Bereavement Gifts – These gifts are offered to veterans or direct veteran family members to honor the service of a deceased veteran. These 10 – $250 gifts are given directly to the location that cares for the veteran or family member.

Community Coalition Partnering: This brings together local businesses, veteran groups, and the faith community to partner together to assist veterans with need home repairs that the veteran is financially unable to handle them on their own. Each partner will allocate $5K per year to make helping more affordable for all members of the coalition.

General Veteran Assistance: This helps veterans with a varied list of needs on a limited basis.

Approximate cost per year. Everything we do for our Veterans and their family; we do for FREE
