Jim Brackney Memorial Dice Run

Jim and Brandi Brackney were in a motorcycle accident in Springfield, MO during the early morning hours on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Three quarters of a mile from home, they struck a deer on their 2011 Harley-Davidson throwing both riders from the motorcycle. As a result, Jim passed away and Brandi suffered a traumatic brain injury among many other injuries. Between neuro trauma ICU, critical illness recovery and medical rehab, she spent two months in the hospital. Brandi was released to go home from rehab on July 26 but still has a long, hard road of recovery ahead of her.

We are gathering on Saturday, September 16th to ride in Jim’s memory and to raise money to go toward Brandi’s ongoing medical and care expenses. We’ll be riding approximately 75 miles through four towns.

All bikes and cages (vehicles) are welcome!

Registration will begin at 9am at Don and Son Cycle located at 4319 W Chestnut Expressway in Springfield, MO. Hi hand prize $400/Lo hand prize $200.

KSU at 10am.

$20 Rider/$25 with Passenger/$20 Cage – $5 per passenger/$5 Extra Hand

Last stop will be at Gunny’s Mill located at 1414 W Farm Road 102 in Springfield with last bike in at 3pm. Here, we’ll award hi hand/low hand money prizes, have a silent auction, raffle prizes, live drawing for the gun raffle and an amazing dinner will be served for a suggested donation of $5 per plate – first come, first serve.

We chose the first and last stop because they meant something to Jim. He had all of his bike work done at Don and Sons Cycle and Gunny’s Mill was one of Jim and Brandi’s favorite watering holes.
