Inaugural Frosty Ball Ride and Party in January 2023 to Bring Awareness to Larger Event this Spring, the Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride to Benefit Men’s Health Initiatives
On Saturday, January 21, 2023, about 30 vintage and classic motorcycle enthusiasts will partake in the “Inaugural Frosty Ball Ride and Party.” They will ride throughout Baltimore City wearing their finest, fashionable (and WARM!) attire to raise awareness for the Baltimore Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride, set for Sunday, May 21, 2023. Both events benefit Movember, the world’s largest men’s health organization, that focuses on cutting-edge research for prostate cancer and mental health as well as male-suicide prevention programs.
The January poker run, from 12 noon- 5:30 p.m., begins and ends at Christopher Schafer Clothiers, the region’s top men’s custom clothing shop, located on 2112 Aliceanna Street. Riders will leave around 12:30 p.m. and visit various pre-determined locations throughout Baltimore, obtaining new playing cards at each social stop. The winner with the best five draw poker hand will be announced following the ride, with a mystery prize awarded at the main party. The party portion of the event starts at 5 p.m. where greeters will be on-hand to cheer in the cold riders followed by The Frosty Ball, that goes until 9 p.m., and includes a live band, DJ dance party, drinks, snacks, and a raffle auction.

“The Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride is an exciting and unique international fundraiser that combines refined style with the thrill of vintage and classic motorcycles. We started our Baltimore Chapter over ten years ago and have been working for ways in which to bring a greater awareness of the event and men’s health issues too. This “Frosty Ball” is a way to share our passions with the community, raise funds ahead of the BIG event, and to promote the Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride. Ultimately, we hope to raise additional funds for associated charity causes, support, and build on people’s passion for riding in Baltimore”, said Christopher Schafer, of Christopher Schafer Clothier.
