This ride has taken place the previous 44 years and put on by the Southern California Motorcycling Association. It is not a convoy but can be ridden with friends or solo. All PRE-REGISTERED riders converge at the Start hotel in Mexicali, Mexico (south of El Centro immediately over the border) the day before the ride. Riders will check in there and receive their Three Flags Passport, hat shirt, etc. There will be a dinner with all riders (maximum of 350 registrants) that evening and provide any news regarding the route. The route is pre-determined and will be posted months before the start of the ride. Route sheets are also distributed at the hotel. The route is primarily a back roads (pre-ridden) route. There are 4 checkpoints along the way. Each rider will check in at each checkpoint (checkpoint days and hours of each checkpoint posted in riders’ passport) throughout the 5-day ride. The finish will be in Penticon, BC Canada. Each rider who completes the ride is awarded a limited edition 45th Annual Three Flags Classic belt buckle. Every year the route is different and every year the buckle is different. You must go to each checkpoint within the designated times to be a certified finisher. Checkpoints are open for the slow and fast rider. We WANT you to successfully finish the ride. While you must check-in at each checkpoint, you are allowed to deviate from the route as you see fit. There is a finisher’s banquet with dinner included in the registration fee. The Starter’s dinner in Mexico is also included in the registration fee.

In order to register, you must pay a $35 SCMA membership fee (on-line) and then register for the ride as a member. The registration fee for the ride is $295. A few things you want to know before registering for the ride.

All motorcycle brands welcome. This is a long-distance motorcycle ride. Not a race.

The goal is to have a fun, unbelievable riding experience through 3 countries and meet like-minded motorcycle enthusiasts along the way. Some participants have done this ride over 35 times!

* You must have a valid passport that will not expire within 6 months of the ride.
* You must have a motorcycle endorsement to ride.
* Mexican vehicle insurance required (available on-line by the day)
