Cherokee Blue Ridge Run 2019 … it’s Coming
Cherokee Blue Ridge Run 2019 … it’s Coming   Last year the Cherokee Blue Ridge Run was a huge success. All of the concerts and stunt shows were included with the price of admission, which was very reasonable; $15 for an individual day ticket, and $30 for an entire weekend pass. Kids 16 and under got in free when accompanying a paying adult. This was a family-friendly event, we encourage the next generation of enthusiasts to discover today’s great sport of motorcycling. This year promoters expect it to be even bigger and better!

Ramble on … June 2019
Ramble On. … By JP Brady WARNING: This could be dangerous. That’s what the sign should have read. But it didn’t. In fact, the Alabama County Rd 548 sign was almost invisible. We missed it the first time by. Leaving Marietta, GA and riding back roads on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, taking GA Hwy 78 over the GA/AL line, we quickly spotted our next turn, County Rd 66. Fine. So far. But where was County Rd 548? It was supposed to be our next right. Right. Making our way into Heflin, AL, I realized we had missed our turn. Now…

American Flat Track to Unleash its Horsepower on the Red Mile
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. BIKER LIVES MATTER Rogue As you know I have been involved in many issues that involve motorcycles. I belong to many organizations and groups that I actively participate in involving Legislative, Safety, and Social. I will continue to be involved in all these organizations.   Because of a vehicle making a left turn and striking my son on his motorcycle in September of 2018, causing him to lose a foot and almost killing him I have decided to concentrate more on safety issues at this time.   I and some others have started a group named BIKER LIVES MATTER. Born To Ride Movie Review

Born To Ride Movie Review
This month, it’s “Wild Hogs” starring Tim Allen, John Travolta, Martin Lawrence, and William H. Macy.  The film was released in 2007, and as far ‘biker exploitation films’ go, I suppose that definition probably doesn’t really fit. It is, however “wildly” entertaining if you are a comedy fanatic or middle-aged gay basher.   The story centers around four middle-aged businessmen who bored with their regular suburban lives, embark on a road trip on their Harleys. Doug (Tim Allen) is a dentist; Bobby (Martin Lawrence) is a plumber; Woody (Travolta) is a bankrupt husband of a swimsuit model, who is divorcing him.…

Couple Donates Wedding Gifts to Children’s Hospital
Couple Donates Wedding Gifts to Children's Hospital Willy and Pat first met in 8th grade and became friends. But after high school, they went their separate ways. They hadn't seen each other in 43 years, and then they connected on Facebook. Pat was coming to Florida for spring break. Pat asked Willy if he'd take her riding on his motorcycle. Willy asked Pat how many days should he set aside? Pat said just one. Well, they rode every day, and their love story began in Florida. They chatted Pat's whole trip home to Ohio and continued chatting every day and…

Katy O. Ishee Road Rash ‘N Road Tales By Myra McElhaney   Katy Ishee (pronounced “Is she” like is she coming or is she going?) is known in riding circles by her nickname “Krazy” and has lots of stories where she’s lived up to that name! (Like crazy fun and audacious.) As a young married woman, riding on her neighbor’s Vespa sparked a desire to ride. After divorcing, in 1974 Katy bought a 1967 R69S BMW which she still rides. In the early days of riding, Katy was often the only woman riding her own in the motorcycle clubs she…

A BIRTHDAY PARTY
A BIRTHDAY PARTY Georgia’s oldest Harley Dealer Macon Harley-Davidson hosted a 98th Birthday Party Celebration for its founder Grover Sassaman that no one in attendance will soon forget. Plenty of food, drinks, raffles, prizes and, of course, a huge Birthday Cake for all to enjoy. I didn’t want to miss the party, so riding down from Marietta, GA to Macon was a great Saturday ride. Upon arriving at Macon H-D and walking in the front door, Trig, their “greeter dog,” gave me a good sniff (looking for more food I suspect), after which I was face to face with Grover,…

Rolling Thunder
Rolling Thunder - 1st Amendment Demonstration Run Rolling Thunder is the largest 1st Amendment demonstration run in the United States, and every year during Memorial Day weekend motorcyclists roll into our Nation’s capital to emphasize the urgency of keeping POW/MIA issues current. “With the economic recovery and healthcare reform taking center stage, the POW/MIA issue is one that nobody in our government wants to address anymore. If they keep dragging their feet, sooner or later anyone who was captured alive will have passed away. But for their families, there is never any closure. Searching for and returning remains is a…
