APPROPRIATIONS BILL SUPPORTS PUBLIC ACCESS, CONSERVATION EFFORTS IN WESTERN STATES

  PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- The Omnibus Appropriations Act, a massive funding bill now working its way through the U.S. Congress, includes provisions that would prohibit implementation of the Wild Lands initiative and continue conservation efforts to prevent the sage-grouse from being listed as an endangered species. In addition, it would require federal land managers to disclose how Equal Access to Justice Act funds are being disbursed. The American Motorcyclist Association supports the inclusion of these vital public lands issues in the bill. Veterans Day Last week I was somewhat overwhelmed by my schedule and it showed. I made a mistake and had Veterans Day posted as Thursday, I was happy several of my readers pointed that fact out to me. PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- A federal judge in Utah is ordering the U.S. Bureau of Land Management to come up with a plan to protect cultural resources from off-highway vehicles along 4,300 miles of Utah trails, the American Motorcyclist Association reports.
