“The Rally at the Railroad” Supports Anthony Fowler Foundation
Parrish, FL — April 3, 2017 — The Florida Railroad Museum in Parrish is hosting the inaugural Anthony Fowler Foundation fundraiser on April 29th, commemorating the tragic accident that took 11-year-old Anthony’s life. This fundraising effort will help support families of children that have faced or are facing a life-ending tragedy, and will fund the Anthony Fowler Sports Equipment Grant Fund for youth residing in Parrish.
“The Rally at the Railroad” will run from 12 noon to 6:00 pm at the Florida Railroad Museum (FRRM) on Route 301 and will feature fun for adults and youth alike. Full size locomotives will run, providing rides up and down the FRRM line, and there will be a motorcycle rally run by the Military Firefighters Cops (MFC) Motorcycle Club. Live music will be provided by the Fureys (Kristina and Dan) playing their own awesome original music. Musical entertainment will also be provided by The Boss Hawg Band, Southern Rock/Country Band composed of local Manatee County boys, local favorites Kim Betts and the Gamble Creek Band, and the Open Door Band (a group formed by previously homeless members, including some homeless veterans).
“The funds we receive will be put back into the local Parrish community and surrounding areas,” said Gretchen Fowler, President of the Anthony Fowler Foundation. “In the spirit of paying it forward, our organization was started to offer the same support the Fowler family received to other families in need of help during a tragic situation. April is National Donate Life Month. Anthony’s organs were donated and used to help save the lives of five people.”
There will be plenty of good food from local food trucks and various craft beers along with the traditional the Budweiser and Heineken beer; and, lots of activities, such as corn hole, bungee jumping, rock climbing. Come one and come all to the exciting ‘Rally at the Railroad!’.
