Here is a phenomenal opportunity to help veterans in your community and have fun at the same time! Liberty Manor for Veterans is hosting a fabulous event called “Races on the River 2022” If you sponsor a boat, your organizations name, and the organizations logo will be displayed on the canoe, along with the opportunity for you to serve as Crew Chief (or designate someone else) or we will assign our veterans to race on your behalf. Your team will be competing against a fleet of others – competing for the grand prize. This will surely determine who will be the next champion in this town, right there along with the Stanley Cup Champions Tampa Bay Lightning, Super Bowl Champions Buccaneers. The media will offer coverage of this spectacular event that promises to offer a lot of FUN! What a fantastic opportunity – this promises to be and a tremendous event for your organization to get involved in and for your company to attend and cheer for your boat. The cost is $1,000 per boat and you can sponsor as many boats as you wish – and we hope that you do!
Now, a little bit of information regarding Liberty Manor for Veterans – we originated in 2006 with the mission to assist the needs of veterans that do not suffer from any substance abuse addictions, they merely became homeless as a result of an economic downside which left them unemployed or an abrupt disability which prevents them from continuing fulltime gainful employment. Liberty Manor is a 501©3 non-profit organization that serves the most deserving yet overlooked individuals of our community – veterans. It has been estimated that an overwhelming number of the homeless population in America are Veterans and, as you well know, contrary to the perceptions that our returning veterans are well-supported, many go without the services they need due to a lack of governmental resources.
Today, Liberty Manor is responsible for housing over sixty veterans that are in dire need of our assistance – many for the first time. Keep in mind, these sixty veterans are our current census only, as veterans’ transition throughout the year, therefore we may serve over a hundred veterans in a given year. Sponsorships help the veterans in their endeavor to move into self-sufficiency once they procure employment or receive a VA pension so they can live independently.
The Veterans Administration in Washington visited us and stated we are one of the most successful programs in the country! We have won every nomination and award possible; President Bush’s Points of Light, Tampa Bay Lightning Community Hero, Mayor’s and Governor’s awards, etc, however, we continue to suffer financially because we invest our time assisting our veterans needs so they can transition successfully. We lack the time to fundraise because we invest all of our time assisting our Veterans by applying for a disability or employment. Please review – Check A Charity, interestingly 95% of our revenue went directly to the intended cause – our veterans. Though we are located in Tampa, Florida, our veterans come from all over the United States – even Puerto Rico.
Please join us and take advantage of a nice day out by enjoying a great event on our beautiful Hillsborough River. The origination point will be 7213 N 41st Street Tampa, Florida 33604, starting at 12pm on May 30, 2022. Let us remember that only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you – Jesus Christ and the American soldier, one died for your soul; the other died for your freedom. It is our sincere hope that you will see the need and might be willing to assist this indigent but remarkably successful initiative.
For God, Veterans and Country,
