Amber Balcean Underdog Bloodline in NASCAR

I think even Rumi would agree we could substitute the word “love” here for “passion.” Yes, Amber Balcean is known as an underdog. She comes from a bloodline all too familiar to me which is the good old blue-collar breed. Amber is packed with passion for what she does in ways that command respect. She comes from the school of “hard-knocks” and this young lady will spare no effort nor take any prisoner to reach her objectives.
As I spoke with her, she was busy in her hometown in North Carolina running from meeting to meeting. She is on a mission seeking sponsorship for the next ARCA Series under the NASCAR banner. She already secured a couple good endorsements “1stphorm,” which is a food supplement company and “Tavia,” which provides a feminine product subscription service that helps keep girls in developing countries in school. She is looking for sponsors with a positive message in their brand that aligns with her personal values.
Amber Balcaen is a 3rd generation race car driver from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. In 2016, Amber made Canadian history when she became the 1st Canadian female to win a NASCAR Sanctioned race in the USA. At 27 years of age, Amber has successfully leveraged her racing platform to be one of motorsport’s largest female influencers – inspiring and motivating people around the world to pursue their dreams, break stereotypes, and have a positive impact on society. In addition to driving race cars, Amber is an active motivational speaker, delivering keynotes across North America. She is also the President of her own company, Amber Balcaen Racing Inc. (ABR). Amber is known as the “underdog of NASCAR,” as she grew up racing on the dirt tracks of Manitoba, overcoming much adversity to make her way into the NASCAR ranks.
This 27-year-old speed maniac loves everything related to adrenaline. You name it, she wants it. Her parents are at the top of her list as role models including NASCAR driver Matt DiBenedetto whose story as an underdog resonates with Amber. Spare time is spent with her high-school sweetheart, boyfriend and football player for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Canada. How do they make the relationship work long distance after several years? “True love will make you do anything to make things work,” she declares boldly with confidence. She and her boyfriend will set up FaceTime, so they see each other while watching the exact same movie at the exact same time. It’s just like real-time without boundaries as they will read books to each other through FaceTime to facilitate discussion. If you haven’t thought of it already, I am sure you know a lot of couples who would do well to introduce reading to each other into their relationship. I did it. I still do it and I tell you it is magic.
Amber’s history has seen her ride dirt bikes and some road bikes which she truly enjoys, but she spends most of her time speeding in four-wheeled missiles because it’s her passion. Intrigued?
