Catching up with Bobby Friss

Bobby Friss and his band are the real deal of rock-and-roll. With world-class musicians (Jerry Riggs, Dean Mickey, Chris Bishop, Michael Locke, and Leroy Myers at his side, Bobby has been rocking for over 40 years. We caught up with Bobby to see what the Bobby Friss Band is up to and where can we catch him on stage.

BTR: What’s been going on in Bobby Friss world?

BF: We’ve had a great start to 2018. Gibtown Bikefest was a blast, the 20th anniversary of Thunder By The Bay, which we have been a part of for 18 years, Daytona Bike Week, and Leesburg Bikefest with record crowds. it’s been amazing!

BTR: The BTR Mega Bash at River’s Edge over Memorial Day weekend should be incredible!

BF: We are really looking forward to the event; two shows on May 26–27 made possible by Bobby Rainey and Fran Haasch, and of course you guys at BTR.

BTR: What else is on the horizon this year?

BF: I’m really excited to have uploaded hundreds of my songs to my website www.bobbyfriss.com. You can now listen to music from over 40 years of recordings, demos, and live shows. Working on this has reminded me how lucky I have been to work with so many great musicians over the years. We’ll tour this summer in the Midwest and East Coast and hope to get back to Florida in the fall.
