Goodbye to our Friend Craig Jackson From Compass Expeditions
Craig Jackson 16.3.71 to 14.6.21
It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness we are writing to let you know that on Monday evening our sales and marketing man Craig Jackson was involved in a motorcycle accident near Wagga Wagga, New South Wales and tragically passed away at the scene.
Craig was the very best one could hope for in an employee, he transcended the boundaries of employee / employer relations and became our friend. Craig was a special guy who always had the very best interests of who he worked for at heart, the very best interests of his clients at heart and strived to be the best man he could be.
Craig was passionate about motorcycles, travel and adventure and he was doing what he loved.
Craig joined us at Compass Expeditions in 2016 and his application read that we had dangled his “live the dream” role in front of him. Not only was he our Sales and Marketing man, Craig took on any task that we threw at him. Washing motorcycles, handing over rental bikes to customers, ride leading and MC at our reunion events , flying to trade shows around the world and leading motorcycle tours in Thailand and driving support in Kyrgyzstan to name a few. Craig became a parts mule, flying parts to Almaty, Kazakhstan for our Road of Bones support trailer and motorcycle parts to Nairobi, Kenya. Craig was up for anything and he was always dedicated to giving his best in whatever he did.
It has been our honour to share part of our lives with Craig.
Our thoughts and heartfelt sympathies are with his loving partner Lizzy and their families and we wish them strength through this difficult time.
If you would like to pass on your condolences to Lizzy and their families, you can do so by emailing us at info@compassexpeditions.com
Any photos or stories you have with Craig, we would also love to share with his family.
We will miss Craig dearly and are so sorry to have to share the news of this terrible loss.
The long ride is over mate, we will take it from here.
