We all know that the advertisers keep it all going, but it’s the articles and contributions that make the difference
Hi Ron, it was a pleasure meeting you at JT’s roadhouse last night. I am the guy with that 76 shovelhead chopper with flames.
First I wish to congratulate you and the gang at Born to Ride for publishing a great magazine. We all know that the advertisers keep it all going, but it’s the articles and contributions that make the difference: The ad for Chopporama at Gibtown follows up with a write-up of the event along with info on the bikes and builders. This stuff keeps the reader informed and solicits the readers’ interest. I am disappointed for missing this event…
Other articles in Born to Ride are “written to invoke thought”, pushing the reader to form an opinion (and maybe even a change in his/her attitude or conduct). I wish to congratulate and thank Nefarious James on his recent article “Respect”. This is the best writing I have read in any bike rag so far, and this article is worthy of a much greater audience. All people should reflect on basic human values, reflect on the meaning of integrity, and understand that respect can only be earned and acquired. Thank you Nefarious James.
I also want to thank your advertisers and promoters for having events that support our biker community. Advertising works: I try to attend as many events in the local area as possible, following the ads in Born to Ride. We are very fortunate to have places to ride, to gather and meet, park our bikes and have a beer, a snack, take in some live music. I am always surprised when meeting a local biker who is unaware of all the great happenings going on. That’s when I try to promote reading Born to Ride! We need to find a way to reach younger riders into sharing and enjoying our lifestyle.
I’ve rambled this email too long, keep up the good stuff at Born to Ride!
