3:30 p.m. Media / 4:00 p.m. Reception
Few motorcycle builders have withstood the test of time, economic downturns and the fickle twists and turns of moto fads. Those with metal-lined backbone and character strong enough to buck trends have earned their legendary status and a fair amount of recognition. 36 of these builders have accepted Michael Lichter’s invitation to create and display a motorcycle in the style of their choosing for the Sturgis Buffalo Chip’s 2020 Motorcycles as Art exhibit titled “Heavy Mettle: Motorcycles and Art with Moxie.” The one-time collection will also display photographs captured by Lichter over his 40-plus-year career on the walls of the exhibition hall.
The Heavy Mettle exhibition will exist for only one week, and the Industry Reception is the only opportunity to experience it with Michael and most of the builders in the exhibit, along with past, present and future leaders of this incredible industry.
There will be a few surprises for those who attend the Industry Reception. So, don’t miss it!
An official, exclusive invitation will follow soon.
Ride Free, Take Risks and we look forward to seeing your smiling faces on August 9th!
