Triumph Bonneville Icons Tour
Triumph Bonneville Icons Tour
Triumph North America has been busy this winter, offering press releases and first looks of their new 2019 Bonnevilles, set to hit dealerships soon. The company has set a precedent of touring their “Bonneys” across America every winter since the complete remodel of the line for 2016, and now other motor companies have begun doing the same thing, Ducati being the most notable. Dubbed the “Bonneville Icons Tour” this year, Triumph has been giving up-close and personal encounters with their all-new Speed Twin models, their new Scrambler XE and XC, the Speedmaster cruiser, and the recently revised/up-spec Street Twin.
We caught up with the Tour in Atlanta last month, as the two main Triumph dealerships in North Georgia, Freewheeling Powersports and Hourglass Cycles, played host to Triumph enthusiasts at the Monday Night Brewing Company Garage. All the upcoming 2019 models were represented for us to check out, straddle, and generally drool over. Two custom Speedmasters were also on display, one each built by Freewheeling and Hourglass, both with killer paint by JDaar Customs.
The venue was packed with the Triumph faithful, and the place was vibrant with enthusiasm for the new bikes. Hundreds were present, and the two dealerships already were taking deposits on bikes, sight unseen. The new Bonnevilles should begin hitting dealerships by March, we are told. When they do, we hope to get a “test mule” to evaluate, specifically a Speed Twin.
In the meantime, check out what our camera lenses captured-
