BAGNAIA SIGNS THE POKER FOR THE SKY RACING TEAM VR46 AT ASSEN_MOTO2

The young Italian rider dominates the Dutch GP from the first to the last corner. Eighth Luca Marini.

Assen (Netherlands), July 1, 2018 – Francesco Bagnaia hits for the fourth time in the 2018 season the highest step of the podium for the Sky Racing Team VR46. In fact, at Assen, after dominating the race, from the first to the last corner, he is first under the checkered flag and extends his advantage in the Championship over his direct opponent.

Started from pole position, Pecco immediately imposes his pace and opens a gap between himself and his followers. At the head of the race for all the 24 laps, he scored 25 points today and now he has 16 points of advantage in the overall standings (144 points vs Oliveria, second, 128).

Eighth place after the first row and a really difficult race for Luca Marini. The strong wind that has characterized the day and the consequent recurrence of the pain in his shoulder has complicated the management of the race strategy forcing him to give up positions during the first laps.
