PICKERINGTON, Ohio — If you’ve ever dreamed about owning a particular vintage motorcycle, chances are you’ll see it at the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Bike Show, presented by Old Bike Barn, on July 9 during AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

The annual bike show showcases restored and original motorcycles, competing for top honors in several classes for standard, competition and custom machines. Special awards for best of show and grand marshal’s choice also will be presented.

“We see all types of vintage motorcycles at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, from purpose-built racebikes to works of art,” said AMA Chief Operations Officer Jeff Massey. “Every year, the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Bike Show delivers a diverse range of quality machines restored and maintained with the greatest of care.”

For 2016, the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Bike Show is sponsored by Old Bike Barn, a vintage motorcycle parts and apparel online retailer at www.oldbikebarn.com that focuses on motorcycles at least 10 years old and the people who ride them.

“Several team members from www.oldbikebarn.com will be present at the show and looking forward to mingling with spectators,” said the Old Bike Barn’s Bear Haughton. “April marks our 15th anniversary, and it’s a great honor to sponsor this portion of one of our favorite vintage motorcycle events!”

The AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Bike Show, presented by Old Bike Barn, will take place on Champ Row in the infield of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on July 9. Judging will take place from noon until 2 p.m., with awards at 3:30 p.m. A $10 donation to the nonprofit Hall of Fame per motorcycle entered is requested.

Bike show pre-registration is available now at www.americanmotorcyclist.com/bikeshowregistration. Participants must check in or register on Champ Row on July 9. Registration closes at 11 a.m.

AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, a fundraiser for the nonprofit AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, includes vintage and post-vintage motocross, trials, hare scrambles, vintage road racing and mini road racing in the upper paddock. A half-mile dirt track event will be held at the nearby Ashland County Fairgrounds.

Additional activities at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days include North America’s largest motorcycle swap meet, the American Motor Drome Wall of Death, a classic motorcycle field meet, demo rides of current production bikes, seminars, live music, Builder’s Row featuring some of the country’s best custom bike builders, two premier raffle bikes on display, a beer garden with the region’s best craft beers, the AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days Adventure Bike Challenge, the AMA Pit Bike TT and displays by some of the AMA’s most active classic clubs.

For 2016, AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days will celebrate the championship-winning career of AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer Wes Cooley and the 40-year anniversary of AMA Superbike racing. Cooley will be on hand throughout the weekend to sign autographs, participate in Q&A sessions and perform demonstration laps on his championship-winning GS1000 each day.
