First Responders Appreciation Lunch at Harley-Davidson of Panama City Beach
Panama City Beach, FL – Wednesday, December 23, 2015 – Harley-Davidson of Panama City Beach is giving a much needed THANK YOU to the hardest working men and women on the Emerald Coast. Along with A Superior Air Conditioning Co. and Beachy Beach Real Estate, Harley is hosting a First Responders Appreciation Lunch on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the Harley dealership, 14700 Panama City Beach Parkway in Panama City Beach. This Lunch recognizes the work of first responders from Bay, Walton and Okaloosa counties of the sheriff’s department, police department, fire department, and emergency medical technicians who have worked to make our beaches safe.
This is a celebration of what first responders do for others every day. First Responders serve the community with pride, honor, courage and respect. They accept the challenges and responsibilities by showing up in the face of danger because they are committed to serve. Our safety and well-being are often dependent on their commitment and devotion.
During lunch, the owner of A Superior AC, Jimy Thorpe, will donate another new air conditioning unit through his program Vets Helping Vets and First Responders. “We started the “Vets Helping Vets” AC giveaway a little over a year ago,” says Jimy, a veteran himself. “In 2016 we’re expanding the program to allow first responders to apply for the giveaway because like our military, they have hearts of service.” It made sense as a natural way to grow the program, he added, since many retired military continue into service related fields like law enforcement and first aid. “I’m blessed to have the support of Beachy Beach Real Estate, who has helped promote the program to their customers.”
