KRAWIEC AND HARLEY V-ROD KEEP GRIP ON NHRA PRO STOCK MOTORCYCLE POINTS LEAD
Screamin’ Eagle Racers First and Third in Points After Norwalk
NORWALK, Ohio (July 5, 2015) – Harley-Davidson® Screamin’ Eagle®/Vance & Hines rider Ed Krawiec leads the Pro Stock Motorcycle class following the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park. Krawiec qualified fourth for the event on a Harley-Davidson® V-Rod® motorcycle and advanced to the second round of Sunday eliminations.
“We are not satisfied with our consistency right now,” said Krawiec. “The horsepower is there, but sometimes we just can’t find it. Both of the Screamin’ Eagle V-Rod bikes were really fast in the first round on Sunday, but we lost 5 mph in round two. We’re going to keep racing and tuning until we get it dialed in.”
Harley-Davidson® Screamin’ Eagle®/Vance & Hines rider Andrew Hines qualified sixth on the team’s other V-Rod motorcycle, and defeated Scotty Pollacheck in round one but lost a close race to Angelle Sampey in round two. Krawiec defeated Chaz Kennedy in the first round and lost to Karen Stoffer in round two. Stoffer defeated Sampey in the final.
After five of 16 events on the 2015 NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle schedule, Krawiec leads the series with 395 points. Stoffer moves up to second place with 350 points, followed by Hines with 340 points. Hector Arana Jr. is fourth with 322 points, followed by Hector Arana Sr. with 291 points.
The Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines drag team returns to action July 10-12 at the Lucas Oil Route 66 NHRA Nationals in Joliet, Ill.
