Harley-Davidson® of Pensacola Donates Motorcycle to Combat Hero Bike Build Presentation on May 25 at the Wall South
Combat Hero Bike Build has one very important mission—to help injured veterans. The program is designed by warriors to give wounded heroes the sense of freedom and adventure they once enjoyed by providing a customized motorcycle uniquely modified to meet their needs.
This past year, Harley-Davidson® of Pensacola donated a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle to the program. The bike being presented to Staff Sergeant Brian Mast on Memorial Day has been retrofitted with a side car which will allow his wife and son to join him on rides. While serving in Afghanistan, Staff Sergeant Mast lost both legs, a finger and part of his forearm and is working hard to rebuild his life.
The presentation will be made at the culmination of the Run for the Wall ride from Los Angeles, CA to Washington, D.C. Representatives of Combat Hero Bike Build will then travel to Pensacola, FL, Memorial Day, May 25, to present the bike at the Wall South, Pensacola Memorial Park at 5:00 p.m.
Senior Pastor of My Father’s Vineyard and Florida representative of Combat Hero Bike Build, Wes Alvarez will be participating in the ride along with the Christ Descendants Motorcycle Ministry, the Viet Nam Legacy Veterans Motorcycle Club of Pensacola and many other local riders.
Combat Hero Bike Build tries to obtain at least one donated bike from each state to help wounded veterans. The motorcycles are not only adapted to be functional to the specific injuries but are customized to a high level of quality as well.
Modifications to all the bikes used in the program are made possible by donations.
