Meet Leigh Dittman
When 13-yr-old Leigh Dittman was an infant, she was diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), or brittle bone disease. OI is a genetic disorder characterized by bones that break easily, often from little or no apparent cause. Leigh has been a patient of Shriners Hospitals for Children® – Tampa since infancy. She had six broken bones in utero, 34 breaks, seven rod surgeries in her femurs and tibias and receives medication that helps make her bones stronger, all at the Tampa Hospital.
Leigh and her parents are determined to help other children in need of Shriners Hospitals for Children’s care. She has given several speeches throughout the United States and has appeared in several public service announcements for Shriners Hospitals for Children® – Tampa. Leigh decided to bring her Love to the Rescue when she held her first birthday charity event to support the Tampa Hospital in 2003. She has raised enough money from this annual event to be featured on the hospital’s philanthropic wall.
Leigh has participated in the Sam Swope Charity ride as a junior auctioneer and will be at this year’s event. She looks forward to interacting with riders and guests and thanking them for supporting Shriners Hospitals for Children® – Tampa.

Live Auction Items
Here is the complete list of items to be auctioned off during both the LIVE auction on March 9th at the end of the Sam Swope Charity Ride to benefit the Tampa Shrine Hospital. Both the live and silent auctions will start around 2pm.
1. Pool All Seasons Pool will build up to a $40k pool at your residence. If winning bid is $10k you would receive a $20k pool, $15k = $30k pool, $20K = $40K pool. In the event we have more than $20k bid we will allow more bids however whatever the ending bid is you will receive a $40K pool. SO final bid is $25K it would still be a $40k pool.
