CHIEF JUDGE APPOINTED TO FESTIVALS OF SPEED
Our judging style at the Festivals of Speed over the years has always reflected a very relaxed approach. As Festivals of Speed expands into new markets we realize it is time to enhance the judging experience and take it to the next level.
With that in mind, we are pleased to announce Mr. Ira Shapiro as Chief Judge to the Festivals of Speed. Mr. Shapiro will handle 100% of the judging process and will be looking to build his team for the upcoming events. If you are interested in judging please contact joe@festivalsofspeed.com.
Mr. Shapiro has been a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America and the AACA – South Florida Region for the past 17 years. As an active member of the AACA – South Florida Region, Ira has served on the Board of Directors and as an Officer. In 2004 he was elected as Region President, serving a two year term. Over the years Ira has Chaired or Co-Chaired various Antique Car events in the South Florida Area. In 2007, Ira Shapiro and several other member of the Region served as volunteer Judges at the Inaugural Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance. For 2008, Ira returned to the Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance as Chief Judge and continued to serve in that capacity through 2011. He continues to support the Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance in the capacity of Class Judge. In 2011 Ira was invited to serve as a guest Judge at the Inaugural Concours d’Elegance – The Elegance at Hershey. And has continued to hone his skills as trained AACA National Judge, by volunteering to judge at AACA National Events.
