Circle Bell Motorsports is happy to announce their sponsorship of the 2013 Law Enforcement “Fallen Officer” Memorial Motorcycle Run, July 27th in Sacramento, Calif. This is the 20th Anniversary of the run organized by the Law Enforcement Chaplaincy-Sacramento (LECS).

“Community involvement is very important to our entire team,” says Bob Bellino, president of Circle Bell Motorsports.  The Law Enforcement “Fallen Officer” Memorial Run is an important fund raiser for the Chaplaincy, so to combine the Memorial Run with the Sacramento Mile is a great way to bring attention to the good work of the Chaplaincy and to honor those in law enforcement who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the citizens they protect and serve.

“This is our 20th year of the Law Enforcement Memorial Run,” explains executive director, Senior Chaplain Mindi Russell.  “Drawing participants from five states, this run is the longest run for fallen officers and raises thousands of dollars each year.  We are really pleased to have Circle Bell Motorsports and the Sacramento Mile join forces with us.  Their commitment, promotion and support should make this year’s run even better and more exciting.”

Festivities for the run get underway on Friday evening July 26th at a special Pre-Registration Party at Harley-Davidson of Sacramento at 1000 Arden Way in Sacramento.  Running from 5pm to 8pm, party goers will be able to pre-register for the Memorial Run, meet some of the top stars of the AMA Pro Flat Track Sacramento Mile, enjoy food and drinks and buy raffle tickets for a number of items including tickets to the Sacramento Mile, event t-shirts and a special Grand Prize Package giving one lucky winner the chance to be part of the Sacramento Mile Winner’s Podium Celebration.

On Saturday morning, July 27th registration for the Memorial Run will be open from 7am-8:30am at Woodlake Park at 500 Arden Way.  At 8:30 a special memorial tribute will take place and a plaque will be unveiled honoring a fallen officer. At 9:30am the Run will depart for Penn Valley.

Leading the run will be the Warrior Guard Riders who will carry the flag of a fallen officer. The Warrior Guard is a group of riders and citizens who come together to raise money (a minimum of $250.00) in support of the LECS mission by raising funds and riding in the Annual Sacramento Law Enforcement Fallen Officer’s Memorial Run.

“In response to last year’s overwhelming success by the generous donations received through the efforts of the last year’s Memorial Run Honor Guard Riders, we have designed an impressive weekend package for those who commit to this year’s Warrior Guard Riders fund raising event, explains Russell.  “The Warrior Guard Riders will be part of the opening ceremonies of the AMA Pro Sacramento Mile with a lap around the race track prior to the opening memorial service for fallen officer Kevin Tonn of the Galt Police Department who died in the line of duty on January 15th of this year.”

Numerous ticket packages for the Memorial Run and the Sacramento Mile will be available on line and at both the Pre-Party and Saturday registration. For more information and to pre-register for the run go to www.memorialrun.org and for information on the AMA Pro Sacramento Mile go to www.sacramentomile.com.
