“Wreaths Across America”

“IN HONOR OF A DECEASED SOLDIER”

“Wreaths Across America” is now accepting donations for sponsorship of Christmas Wreaths which will be placed at the grave sites of our beloved soldiers at the VA Sarasota National Cemetery which is located at 9810 State Road 72 (Clark Road) Sarasota. The cemetery personnel can be contacted at (941) 922-7200.

Please make your checks payable to Sarasota Military Academy (PTCC). They can either be dropped off or mailed to SMA at 801 N. Orange Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34236.

The Wreath Ceremony will be held at the Cemetery on 12-15-2012 at 11:30 am.

Motorcycle Events

Oct 27th – Haley House Poker Run, benefiting the Haley House Fund for the Tampa VA Hospital. Registration begins at 9:00 am at American Legion Post #148, 7240 U.S. Hwy. 301, Riverview, FL. Contact info: (813) 409-2455

Hap’s Honda Open House – 10:00 am thru 2:00 pm located at 2530 17th Street, Sarasota. Contact info: (941) 365-3443. Pre-register for the ‘Jolly Roger’ Poker Run.

Oct 28th – 2012 ‘Jolly Roger’ Poker Run benefits the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Registration 9:30 am – 11:00 am with first bike out at 10:00 am. Starts at Hap’s Honda (same as above) ends at Manatee River Harley-Davidson with the West Coast ABATE ‘Iron Horse Rodeo’. This ride is sponsored by Hap’s Gulf Coast Riders.
