Academy of Country Music Nominated Aaron Lewis of Staind Makes Solo Debut at The Buffalo Chip® During The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

Sturgis Buffalo Chip, South Dakota (July 5, 2012) The Sturgis Buffalo Chip® welcomes breakout country artist Aaron Lewis to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally on Wednesday Aug 8, 2012. The Academy of Country Music nominated Aaron Lewis pulls double duty as the voice of the Grammy Award-nominated, multi-platinum rock band Staind. Now with a successful solo career, the singer, songwriter and guitarist makes his solo debut at the Buffalo Chip as part of their annual Sturgis Concert Series. Aaron Lewis has been igniting venues across the nation and converting legions of fan with his smooth honky tonk sound.

Growing up in Massachusetts, Aaron Lewis enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting and rock ’n roll. As a founding member, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for Staind, Aaron helped make an indelible mark on hard rock. The group has sold 13 million albums worldwide, yielding four consecutive top 3 debuts on the Billboard Top 200 as well as numerous radio hits. Their single “It’s Been Awhile” remains one of the most-played rock songs of the decade.

The latest chapter in Aaron Lewis’s musical journey brings him back to the first style of music he’d heard, country music. Highlighted by the success of gold-selling single “Country Boy” featuring the legendary George Jones and Charlie Daniels, the seven-song EP reached #1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart. Lewis also received two Academy of Country Music nominations for “Vocal Event of the Year” for “Country Boy” as well as two CMT nominations–one for “USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year” and another for “Collaborative Video of the Year.”  Buffalo Chip concert goers can look forward to hearing Aaron Lewis’s highway anthem “State Lines,” “Party in Hell,” “Endless Summer” and “The Story Never Ends” on Wednesday August 8, 2012 in their famous natural amphitheater.
