Common Sense and Logic
Last Wednesday I sent out an email regarding the fact I would no longer be a ‘passer’ of emails, letters, rumors or anything else to do with the upcoming Presidential Election in November.
No I’m not giving in or giving up, I’m just going to utilize my time more wisely in educating myself as to who Barrack Obama and Mitt Romney really are.
I am personally tired of the constant news 24/7 with smiling faces saying I’m the one who did this or that. I am tired of the constant barrage of ‘It wasn’t me, it was the prior administration’ or ‘it was a business move and nothing personal’.
It appears the political process in America has been high-jacked and has gone completely nuts, no matter what party lines you may follow, be they Democrat, Republican or Independent.
Politics seems to have turned into something similar to a ‘B’ Rated Slasher Movie. What in the world has happened to being truthful and forthcoming?
It appears for the most part these two men are almost 180 degrees out from each other on how this country should proceed forth in the future. Let me ask you some questions and seriously think about your answers.
Could you balance your personal checkbook the way the government has balanced theirs? Would you be able to sit and answer a question posed to you with a simple yes or no and not blow a lot of smoke towards the rear pockets of the person asking the question?
Are you registered to vote? Do you feel you are well versed enough on our current state of affairs to be able to make an educated decision as to whom to vote for? Are you distracted by race or creed? Have you considered each person’s background and the accomplishments in their personal and leadership lives? Do you feel their personal backgrounds have been made available to concerned voters?
Have you considered their friends and associates? Have YOU vetted both men for yourself (don’t rely on the media or ‘party officials’ to do your homework for you)?
This election is about what is best for “We the People” and the longevity of this Republic we know as the United States of America, not what’s in it for me or my party.
If you find yourself sitting in your chair wondering who to vote for, you still have time to study them and then make an educated, non emotional decision. Who should be the President of the greatest country in the world?
Here are two words you don’t hear utilized in politics anymore.
Common Sense – Sound and prudent judgment based on a simple perception of the situation or facts.
Logic –Interrelation or sequence of facts or events when seen as inevitable or predictable.
Give Common Sense and Logic a try in November.
