The Women’s Coalition of Motorcyclists (WCM, Inc.) Funds Training Scholarships to Girlz MotoCamps

Following its mantra, “Female Motorcyclists… Fueling the Future of Motorcycling,” WCM, Inc. has provided $2000.00 in scholarship funds, powered by Cycle Gear, to Girlz MotoCamps by Shelina Moreda. This will pave the way for 2 candidates to attend the rider training camp this May 2016 during the Memorial Day weekend in harmony with International Women’s Ride Month. This funding will be directed towards underprivileged females of high school age and younger.

As part of the application process, a candidate must be willing to share, in her own words, why she aspires to train through Girlz MotoCamp and what she would like to do with her new found motorcycle skills upon completion of her instruction. In establishing scholarships for underprivileged female youths, WCM, Inc. and Girlz MotoCamps by Shelina Moreda will make motorcycling visible and accessible to a broader range of female youths and expand the possibilities for others as these scholarship winners go back to their communities.

In addition to targeting female youths, WCM, Inc. provides funds for female motorcyclists in their pursuit of excellence on the road, in the dirt or on the track as trainers and/or competitors in all motorcycling disciplines. Paid memberships in WCM, Inc., industry partnerships and matching fund contributions provide the horsepower for scholarship awards.
