In God I Trust

Recently we as a Nation have been besieged by what appears to be an attack on media outlets, taxpayers and the military by the administration.

I want to address each area with my personal opinion.

Benghazi

It appears the government knew prior to the attack U.S. Consulate in Benghazi it was coming and still failed to protect those inside the ending with the deaths of four U.S. Americans, one of which was an Ambassador.

The basic gist of the hearings involving this incident is who knew, when and why wasn’t Chris Stevens and others protected?

Now down to the real question “Who is going to prison and when”?

Numerous times I have heard the statement made by Hillary Clinton “What difference, at this point, does it make?”

It makes a LOT of difference to those who died, their families as well as the American public.

IRS

Nobody likes the IRS first of all because of the power they wield over the American taxpayer.

It appears the IRS has no internal system to make sure they treat taxpayers fairly.

These are the same folks who will be overseeing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) program in the future. Think about that for a minute.

Wire Taps

The DOJ (Department of Justice) secretly obtained two months of telephone records of reporters and editors for The Associated Press. The records obtained by the Justice Department listed outgoing calls for the work and personal phone numbers of individual reporters, for general AP office numbers in New York, Washington and Hartford, Conn., and for the main number for the AP in the House of Representatives press gallery.

Amazingly enough Attorney General Eric Holder recused himself entirely from the matter. And the White House according to Jay Carney (Press Secretary) didn’t know anything. “We are not involved in decisions made in connection with criminal investigations, as those matters are handled independently by the Justice Department.”

Umbrella Incident

The Commander in Chief called in Marines to hold umbrellas over him and the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan as it began to rain during an outdoor press conference.

“Why don’t we get a couple Marines — they’re going to look good next to us — just ’cause I’ve got a change of suit but I don’t know about, uh, our prime minister.” I don’t know about you Mr. President but he’s not my prime minister and the Marines look good without being around the Commander in Chief.

In God We Trust

Was adopted as the official motto of the United States in 1956. “In God we trust” has appeared on most U.S. coins since 1864 and it also the State motto of Florida.

In God I Trust” the rest of you are going to have to prove yourselves.

God Bless America and all those who serve in uniform to protect us.

The Meaning of Memorial Day

President Ronald Reagan in a speech given at Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day in 1986 said “Today is the day we put aside to remember fallen heroes and to pray that no heroes will ever have to die for us again. It’s a day of thanks for the valor of others, a day to remember the splendor of America and those of her children who rest in this cemetery and others. It’s a day to be with the family and remember.
