Born To Ride and Preachers Hot Rod Designs are dedicated to showing respect to builders by offering a unique and different approach to the “Motorcycle Show”.

LOOK FORWARD TO FEATURING YOUR TALENT AND HARD WORK!

Builders will be welcomed to submit motorcycle builds for entry in open shows. Below are the descriptions of the classes and the judging criteria

ASSEMBLED FROM PARTS
Entries in this class must be assembled from parts available to the general public. A build in this class can start as an OEM Motorcycle. An original frame must remain in OEM condition-molding is allowed. No parts that are designed to be bolted on can be welded then molded custom seats are allowed.

NEW SCHOOL
These builds will resemble Old School style with new technology – Billet Wheels engines of any year – are examples. No one off custom frames or gas tanks. Should a bike be entered in category and arrive for show with custom frame, gas tank, fenders, it will be moved to the Free Style Class.

PERFORMANCE PARTS
Every entry in this class will be judged on how the build would perform, the platform it is built to represent. Example, Café Racer won’t have the same chassis set up as drag bike. A Sport Bike is designed for road course racing. Performance bikes do not have molding- we will use a weight to horse power format.

OLD SCHOOL
Motorcycles in this class are built to resemble the Customs of the “60’s” and “70’s”. Examples are: Engines pre-1985 catalog bought frames-wheels- etc. Billet Aluminum will be a deduction! It is suggest to reference early magazines pre-1980 for how bikes looked and the parts that were used back in that era.

FREE STYLE CLASS
Easy to describe. Build whatever style you wish with any power source you wish. Note the mechanical functions of the build will be judged. Be Careful!!

BADGER
This class is designed for ultimate Bagger – These entries must start from a manufactured motorcycle. No one off custom frames. Swing arm may be changed but must remain located in stock pivot locations. The neck can be changed along with stretch and up and out rake. We will look at the following; are the tires rated for highway speeds, are brakes sufficient for weight and tire size.

This is not a Model Contest
Motorcycles in all classes will be judged on uniformity. All motorcycles must Start*-Stop-Shift. *Start does not mean you can jump-start it. The exception would be race only entry – in the performance class.
