NINTH PLACE FOR DENNIS FOGGIA IN CATALUNYA_MOTO3

The young rookie of Sky Racing Team VR46, started from the 25th box of the grid, hits the Top10. Great race for Nicolò Bulega, involved in a crash when he was fighting for the winning.

Montmelo (Catalunya, Spain), June 17, 2018 – A Catalan GP with a bittersweet taste the one has just ended for the Sky Racing Team VR46 at Montmelo. Dennis Foggia, the rookie in the category, is the architect of a beautiful recovery and crosses the finishing line in ninth place. Forced into the pits, after an accident, Nicolò Bulega who was fighting for the victory.

Dennis, who started from the 25th place on the grid, immediately reduced the gap with the front group, moving up the rankings till the sixth place. A race contact then, in the last lap, has relegated him to the limits of the Top 10.

Positive feelings for Nicolò who is one the protagonist of the race. After a difficult start, he was back in the group of the strongest guys taking the lead of the race. An accident, during the 15th lap, which also involved Aron Canet and Albert Arenas, unfortunately, forced him into the garage.

I have two different kinds of feelings: on one hand, I’m happy to have seen Nicolò fight in the front group on the other, however, the incident left me with a bitter taste. A pity, but it was a joy to see him there. Dennis started from the end of the grid, but he made a great recovery and touched the Top6. I am satisfied.

A positive weekend overall: after many races where we have struggled, it was great to be back in the leading group. We have fought for the victory, but a rider, in the last laps, made a mistake and I found myself on the tarmac. We have worked hard, we have not be discouraged, but move forward in this direction.

A really hard race. We started from the bottom of the group, but we tried to do our best, I moved up till the sixth place and I’m satisfied with the points and the Top 10. A pity for the last lap because, in the group, a rider touched me and I was forced to give up positions.
