2018 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days Announces live Entertainment at Old Bike Barn Crossroads

Fans of Country Music, Rockabilly, Americana, and Blues are in for a Treat
PICKERINGTON, OHIO — 2018 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days will feature a variety of live music to energize and entertain motorcycling enthusiasts through the weekend, July 6-8 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

“We have some high-energy acts coming to AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days this year, including country, blues, rock and Americana artists,” said AMA Chief Operations Officer Jeff Massey. “The main stage at Old Bike Barn Crossroads offers people a chance to hear some great music while enjoying some food and a cold beverage before heading back to enjoy all the other great attractions.”

Four of the six acts hail from Ohio.

AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days is the nation’s premier vintage motorcycling event, featuring racing, bike shows, seminars and motorcycle attractions. The annual event, now in its 28th year, is the largest fundraiser for the benefit the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame.

The live performance schedule includes:
July 6
1-3 p.m.: Beau Braswell — Country (artistecard.com/BeauBraswell#!/shows/2018/209337)
4-6 p.m.: The Spikedrivers — Bluesy, upbeat, country-fried rock (www.thespikedrivers.com)

July 7
11a.m.-1p.m.: Ramey — Americana inspired by the Avett Brothers, Ryan Adams, Hank Williams (www.ramey.band)
2-3: 30 pm: School of Rock Dublin — Translating students’ lessons to performing on stage (locations.schoolofrock.com/dublin)
4:30-6: 30 pm: The Patrick McLaughlin Band — Blues (www.patrickmclaughlin3.com/Patrick_McLaughlin/Home.html)

July 8
10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.: Keith Jones and the Makeshifts — High energy 1950s rock and roll (www.themakeshifts.com)

For 2018, the Old Bike Barn Crossroads also includes the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Bike Show, club displays, a craft beer garden, vendors and more.

Entertainment also includes the American Motor Drome Wall of Death, bike shows, and stunt shows.

The AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days Swap Meet brought to you by Federal Motorcycle Shipping, brings hundreds of vendors together to sell, buy or trade bikes, parts and memorabilia.

The event also features the AMA Vintage Grand Championship, which features road racing, motocross, hare scrambles, trials and dirt-track racing.

Current production bikes will be on hand for display and demo rides.

And informative seminars are scheduled to keep you “in the know.”

AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days is a family-friendly event. Children 12 and younger get in free with a ticketed adult. Free parking is also available on site.

Proceeds from AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days benefit the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, which is located on the AMA campus in Pickerington, Ohio. The mission of the Hall of Fame is to tell the stories and preserve the history of motorcycling’s legends and heroes.
