THE SKY RACING TEAM VR46 BACK ON TRACK FOR THE 2018 SEASON

Milan, 8th February 2018. It’s the time of talent: another season begins of the Sky Racing Team VR46. Two categories: Moto2 and Moto3. Four riders, all Italians: Francesco Bagnaia, Luca Marini, Nicolò Bulega and Dennis Foggia.

Five years later, the beginning of this new season means the confirmation of the strength and the continuity of the project born in 2014 from the synergy between Sky and VR46 of Valentino Rossi for supporting the growth of the next generation of Champions.

The green light of the 2018 season for the Team – with Pablo Nieto as a Team Manager for the 4th consecutive year – will light up on the 18th March in Qatar. Before the debut at Losail circuit, there will be several stages of approach, starting with the testing session scheduled next week in Jerez de la Frontera.

MOTO2 – For the second consecutive year, the Team will also race in Moto2 with Kalex. After the excellent debut in 2017, crowned with the title of “Rookie of the Year,” Francesco Bagnaia is one of the most competitive rider’s of the category, ready to fight with the strongest guys. Next to him, after the experience gained in the last two years in the intermediate class, there will be Luca Marini, at his debut with the Sky Racing Team VR46 and motivated to continue his growth path.

MOTO3 – New goals also in Moto3 with KTM. After a winter dedicated to recovery and physiotherapy, due to the injury of last November in Valencia, Nicolò Bulega is ready to get back on the track. The adventure in the MotoGP World Championship begins for Dennis Foggia, the youngest Italian rider in the entry list, after the title in the CEV last year with the Sky VR46 Junior Team.
PARTNERS-In both categories, the Team can count on the commitment and trust of a lot of partners, which have embraced the philosophy of the project for supporting the Italian champions of tomorrow. Next to Oakley, which will be the main partner also in 2018, confirmation for Dainese and AGV, alongside the team since 2014 and Monster Energy. To these, we have added DELLORTO, an Italian company with great tradition in the world of motorsport competitions with ENI i-Ride, a line of high-tech lubricants. Eni and DELLORTO have signed an exclusive agreement to commerce i-Ride in Italy and they have chosen the Sky Racing Team VR46 as the ideal partner for the launch of their partnership.
