Hall of Fame Racer and Business Owner Releases New Autobiography

IRVINE, Calif. (September 23, 2015) – The American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo) announced today that off-road racing legend and pioneer Malcolm Smith has been named “AIMExpo Champion” for its third-annual gathering at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center, October 15-18.

Smith, an AMA Hall of Famer and a true off-road motorcycling pioneer, follows fellow Hall of Famers Kenny Roberts (2013) and Kevin Schwantz (2014) as AIMExpo Champion, and will play an integral role in the weekend’s pre-event publicity and promotion.

Smith will also be a focal point of several AIMExpo festivities, including Q&A sessions with fans, media appearances and signing copies of his brand-new autobiography in booth 2401. “Malcolm! The Autobiography” is available now from Malcolm Smith Motorsports, www.themalcolmbook.com and powersports dealers nationwide via Tucker Rocky.

“I’m genuinely honored to be named AIMExpo Champion,” Smith said. “Especially on the heels of champions like Kenny [Roberts] and Kevin [Schwantz]. As a longtime powersports dealer myself, I see the tremendous value AIMExpo brings to dealers, and I’m excited to get there and see what’s new in our industry for the coming season. AIMExpo has accomplished a lot in just a couple of years, and it’s all very exciting, for me personally and for the industry. Heck, I’d be there even if they hadn’t chosen me to be the AIMExpo Champion!”

“Malcolm is an ideal choice for AIMExpo Champion,” said Larry Little, VP and General Manager of AIMExpo. “What he’s done in the racing and business worlds is simply unparalleled. Through his many amazing off-road exploits and appearance in Bruce Brown’s iconic documentary ‘On Any Sunday,’ Malcolm turned many of us into motorcyclists, and all of us – fans and industry folks, alike – are appreciative of everything he’s done for motorcycling. It’s going to be a great weekend with him in attendance, especially with his fantastic new autobiography being available there.”

More than 525 exhibitors have already committed to AIMExpo in 2015. Exhibitor presence builds each day and companies looking to take advantage of the AIMExpo platform should contact an AIMExpo Account Manager toll free at 855-MCShows (855-627-4697).
